2011-04-26 | Euthanasia-Suit

Price: USD $19.99
Nearly 20 years after Sue Rodriguez lost her fight to tear down Canada's laws against assisted suicide, a BC woman believed it was time to re-open the debate. Lee Carter took her terminally ill mother to Switzerland in 2010 to die with the help of a doctor. On April 26th, Carter filed a lawsuit in BC court seeking to allow adults with incurable terminal diseases to get help to end their lives. She said Canadians were ready for it. (Washington state and Montana recently legalized doctor-assisted suicide, which was already legal in Oregon, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.)
